The New Apostolic Church Young People’s choir combine their talents with the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra for a concert entitled You’ve Got a Friend. This will be held in the Silvertown Auditorium on 9 September 2018.

The concert also serves as a platform for the official launch of the Masakhe NPO foundation. The Masakhe foundation is a New Apostolic Church initiative and its mission is to reach out to all people within the community at large to build self-sustaining support structures for all the underprivileged in our society. To this end Masakhe NPO will be the beneficiaries of a donation at the conclusion of the concert.

The concert programme celebrates the theme of friendship and the musical items focus on aspects such as love, loyalty, generosity and encouragement. The diverse musical renditions feature a number of songs which are well-known to the public, as well as a few hymns of praise and worship.

Brandon Phillips, resident conductor of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, leads the combined group of musicians with his conducting expertise. The programme also offers a few soloists the opportunity to showcase their individual talents.

Until the 22nd of August, tickets will be available at Computicket at a discounted price of R70. Thereafter, all tickets will cost R100.
