On Wednesday evening 8 March 2018, the congregation of Belthorn Estate gathered with Apostle Lambert.

Bishops N Barron and A Hartzenberg, together with the Rectors of Silvertown Bishop Area were also invited.

The Apostle read the Bible word from John 13:12, “So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, ‘Do you know what I have done to you?’” The Apostle highlighted the humble deed of Jesus Christ, and our ongoing development and maturity into the  nature of Jesus Christ. Bishop Hartzenberg was also called to serve along. Two Deacons were ordained for the Belthorn Estate Congregation.

Apostle Lambert shared the news that St. Helena, Falkland and Ascension islands were now incorporated into the Silvertown Bishop Area. Priest Gavin Snell from Grassy Park Bishop Area was appointed as the Rector for the newly created congregation of Ascension Island. Priest Snell was set to leave for Ascension Island with his family in the ensuing days to live there, thus enabling the establishment of a functioning congregation, which meant that God’s children living and working on the island will be cared for in the future. Apostle wished him and his family all the best on the next leg of their journey and assured them of the continued prayers of all.

After the divine service, the members were invited to spend a few moments in fellowship, and enjoy refreshments prepared by the congregation.
