The congregation of Rustdene welcomed District Apostle J Kriel into their midst on Christmas day.
Rustdene is a suburb of Beaufort West, the Capital of the Karoo, situated about 463km from Cape Town. The Karoo is a semi-desert natural region of South Africa.
As a basis for the divine service, the District Apostle used a Bible word from Matthew 1:23, "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, "God with us". Feelings and emotions were joyful throughout the congregation as the District Apostle took the member's thoughts to the significant birth of Jesus and what it meant for us as believers.
Before the conclusion of the divine service, the District Apostle used the opportunity to thank District Elder Bredekamp and his family for their sacrifices, as well as introducing Bishop Stephens to his new area.
The presence of the District Apostle in the congregation of Rustdene on Christmas day made it a truly special and unforgettable Christmas for all those in attendance.
