On Easter Sunday, 01 April 2018, District Apostle J Kriel conducted a divine service in Hanover Park

During the build-up to this festive divine service, the congregation of Hanover Park portrayed their excitement on their Facebook page.

The congregations of Lansdowne, Newfields, Sunlands and Yorkshire Estate were also invited to attend the service.

The service commenced with a Bible word taken from the book of Acts 10, verses 40 – 42; "Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead."

This was followed by a Bible reading from the book of Luke 24:1–12.

Apostle P Lambert and Bishop A Hartzenberg were also called to serve.

After the conclusion of the divine service, the joy of the congregation reverberated when the choir rendered the closing hymn with the hymn Rise now and shine.
