On Wednesday 31 October 2018, District Apostle J Kriel conducted a divine service
in the congregation of Lavistown.
Invited to this service were members from The Conifers and Voëlvlei congregations, as well as all the Rectors and their wives, retired priestly ministers, deacons, and the coordinators and their spouses from the area of Apostle A Kriel.
The service served as a special preparation for the visit of Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider to Lavistown in May 2019. The District Apostle was also accompanied by Apostle A Kriel and Bishops J Cook, L Ravell, G February and B Norman.
Before the commencement of the service the majestic sounds of the choir and orchestra served as a beautiful preparation for the hour of blessing.
As a basis for the divine service, the District Apostle used the Bible word 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17, “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.”
The message of the divine service will ring in the hearts of the congregation for months to come.
