The Sunday School children of Wentworth Congregation in Durban brought joy to the lives of the

children of the Edith Benson Children’s Home. They donated some of their toys to them, after they had heard that the children of the Edith Benson Children’s Home lost everything when their building was razed to the ground during a fire on Tuesday, 20 February 2018.
The children of the home have been taken to various other Places of Safety, while the provincial government begins the task of rebuilding their home.
The Wentworth Sunday School children were particularly happy to meet the three-year-old “hero” who alerted the adults to the fire which led to them saving all 57 children at the home. The Sunday School children's faces beamed with joy when they saw how excited and grateful the less fortunate children from the home were upon receiving their toys.
