After a blessed visit to Devon Park Congregation,
La Motte Congregation invited the seniors to attend divine service, enjoy an excursion and a scrumptious meal.
On 7 May 2017, Devon Park seniors and their helpers arrived in La Motte. They attended service with the congregation and had a brunch to fill up their tummies for the excursion planned by the Rector. They first visited the local church building and Museum and left for the Franschhoek Monument for pictures. Before returning to the hall for lunch, they visited the Berg River Dam to have an idea of how critical the current water supply is. The seniors and helpers together with La Motte’s seniors had a 3-course meal and shared much laughter. Soon it was over and it seemed that nobody wanted to leave. With joy and with much gratitude they left with a blessed experience in the divine service and fellowship with their fellow brethren in the Cape Winelands.
