On 5 July 2018, Sunday School teachers and 56 children from the Palmridge and Jacksonville

congregations, Port Elizabeth went on an excursion to an orange farm in the Addo District.

This visit was arranged with the help of Priest Hendricks who serves in the Kirkwood Congregation. The children, together with their teachers experienced a fun-filled day on the farm. They were educated on the different processes pertaining to the growth, cultivation and packaging of the fruit. The children were allowed to pick, pack and even taste of the fruit and could drink a few cups of one of the healthiest fruit freely. The lunch they enjoyed was donated by family and members from the congregations. They entertained the staff with the singing of a few hymns which were thoroughly enjoyed. The teachers and the children thanked Priest Hendricks and the staff for a well-planned, entertaining and educational visit.
