On Sunday 22 April 2018, a Sunday School Teachers’ Workshop was held

in the Pretoria South East District. The workshop was presented by sister Stephnie Klaasen for the congregations of Bronkhorstspruit,  Ekangala, Onverwacht, Refilwe and Rethabiseng.  A meeting for the ministers of this area was held at the same time, by District Rector Chris de Smedt, who opened the workshop with a prayer.
Teachers were reminded that they were teaching the future leaders within the Lord’s work, and that the children should be encouraged and motivated within the class with Godly love. The objective was to give the necessary support, so that each congregation may have a fully functional Sunday School. Teachers were taught how to effectively communicate within the class, guided on how to conduct activities, preparing interactive lessons based on the TAPE Theory, thus providing the essential spiritual teaching for the Sunday School children.
Sister Stephnie Klaasen thereafter presented the 5 Pillars of Sunday School, to ensure unity amongst Sunday School coordinators and teachers within each congregation. The teachers were divided into groups and had an opportunity to prepare lessons and apply the TAPE Theory.  This experience inspired the teachers and they all enjoyed the workshop, leaving with much enthusiasm.
