Vanderbijlpark congregation came together on Sunday, 1st of July 2018 after service at
the Sasol Lapa in Sasolburg for a "Lepel-ete" fellowship. What this "lepel-ete" means is that each person gets a spoonful of everything and after dishing, one ends up with a plate full of food. After the main course, a delicious Malva pudding was served with custard.
District Rector Kuchenbecker announced that something special was to be handed out to a few members present. The Women’s Group of the Vaal Triangle started with an initiative about a year ago, where they make a quilt or "Care Blanket" for all of those who have lost a loved one. A few of the members have lost a loved one recently and they were given this very special and thoughtful gift. After a wonderful day spent together, a few choir members came together and started singing a few choir hymns. What a joyful and blessed day!
