The PNE Young People hosted a High Tea at the Eastlynne Community Centre

on Saturday 8 September 2018. Tables were beautifully decorated by the young people and their mothers. The menu had a light finger eatery of sweet and savoury snacks.

Two guest speakers entertained the 90 guests who attended. District Rector Helper Bayard entertained and advised the group on a few issues that affect the young people and their parents. He focused on social and economic issues, such as unplanned pregnancies, as well as finances.

The second guest speaker was Mr Andrè Hendricks who spoke about “self-worth”.  This topic was well received by the audience as it touched on issues of loving yourself, improving your circumstances, and identifying tension, stress and depression.

Six lucky draw prizes were also handed out. Positive feedback on the event was received from those who attended. These comments were from our members, as well as from those of other denominations who attended.
