The current cold conditions moved the Apostle B Swartbooi to bring some relief to many.

A blanket drive was immediately initiated. Sister Evelyn Koopman from Pescodia Congregation knitted woollen blankets and caps. On Thursday 11 July 2019, the District Rector, District Evangelist L Carlo, together with the young people could hand over these knitted blankets to the senior members in Douglas. Each child received a woollen cap.

Later the evening, all  Sunday School teachers attended the divine service for Sunday School teachers, as arranged for all congregations. Some aspiring and learner teachers also attended. A group photo was taken and a knitted blanket was handed over to the most senior teacher, sister Angeline Chabalala.
