Highbury congregation was served by the Apostle A Kriel on 06 January 2019, for the New Year’s Day divine service.
As basis for the divine service the Apostle used the Bible word 1 Corinthians 1:5-7, "that you were enriched in everything by Him [Jesus Christ] in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ."
The motto for 2019: Rich in Christ, formed a major part of the service. The Apostle explained that God wants to share His riches with those who love Him. He further encouraged the congregation to share the riches they received with their neighbours, as this will also enrich them spiritually. The Apostle referred to the hymn, "My Father is rich in houses and lands", and said that these riches will be inherited on the day of the Lord.
Shepherd C Simons was also called to serve along.
After the divine service the Apostle wished the members a blessed New Year.
