In the New Apostolic Church there are festive occasions which are annually celebrated. (Click here to see gallery of DA area.)
One such occasion is Thanksgiving Day. By celebrating Thanksgiving we bring special thanks to God for preserving us both naturally and spiritually.
On Saturday 6 October 2018, a special Thanksgiving Choral was held at Nelsville congregation which is situated in the heart of the Mpumalanga province.
District Apostle J Kriel, accompanied by Apostle L Meyer, Bishop J Milazi and V Ndubane, was also in attendance.
The choir filled the church hall with music themed around adoration and gratitude. The hard work put in by all the participants was blessed with a beautiful execution of the hymns on the programme.
On Sunday 7 October 2018, the District Apostle conducted the Thanksgiving Day divine service in Chochocho community hall. Chochocho is a rural area located near the Kruger National Park.
The Bible word which served as the basis for this special divine service was taken out of Psalm 136: 1, 25-26, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord…,who gives food to all flesh, for His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever.”
All too soon Thanksgiving Day was over, but the joy and thankfulness will live on in the hearts of the members for a long time to come.
