On Wednesday 29 January 2020, District Apostle J Kriel visited Uitsig congregation.
In addition to the congregation, all the Rectors, their wives and three hundred Priests from the Apostle area were invited to attend the service.
The Bible word for the divine service was taken out of Matthew 5:3; “Blessed are the poor in spirit for they shall inherit the kingdom of heaven”.
The District Apostle referred to the importance of allowing silence in our hearts so that the Father can speak to us. He emphasized the elements of the poor in spirit; humbleness, dependence on and submissiveness to God, an acknowledgement of our strengths and weaknesses, and an understanding that salvation is offered only through grace.
During this divine service, Apostle Worship and Bishop Classen were called to serve along.
The music of the children’s choir and the brass band added a festive atmosphere to the special divine service.
